President Trump: The NEW one and only politics thread

I’m not disgusted with the politicians as much as I’m disgusted with the people who support the politicians who fail to state the facts. Voters do your job and seek truth or admit you don’t care about the facts.

I do not have respect for clowns like Cruz and Graham who support a guy who ripped them just a few years ago.

 

Rep. Loudermilk (seriously this guy's name is "Loudermilk"? Sourcream was taken?) is wringing his hands about a shame trial, the inability to face accusers and due process. He seems to forget Moscow Mitch has already announced Trump will be acquitted when this gets to the Senate.

 

Exactly. It's not as if this is actually going to get him removed from office. This is about two things. It is about exposing his crimes to the public in the hopes that it will help turn the 2020 election against President Trump and it is about screwing with his legacy. The latter seems to be what is upsetting him most. This is exactly what the Republicans wanted to do to President Clinton. They wanted the opening line of his obituary to be that he was the second President of the United States to be impeached. Now they get to see their guy become the third.

 

Yeah, the best part for me is knowing that tomorrow I get to change one of my test questions from "Name the two" to "Name the three."

 

Moscow Mitch and Closeted Graham conspiring to make the senate trial a quick acquittal is the best outcome short of actually impeaching Pufenstuf , if the democrats are wise. More can be made of a rigged trial by republicans than An actual trial approaching due process and fairness.

 

Is Clinton's obit line "second President to be impeached" or "first President to be impeached for a blow job, the insane horndog"?

 

I don’t know how Ted Cruz looks in the mirror after what Trump said about his wife. Moral coward.

Georgia has a lottery but doesn't have casinos, so some (probably less) of our residents' money goes to Alabama for that purpose. There's been an effort for several years to get the state legislature to approve casino gambling, and it seems to be gaining support. I'm fine doing without casinos, as my impression is that the casino owners* make money but that the communities where they're located don't particularly benefit.
