There's a new Mandalorian today, for some reason.

They released it a couple days early because they didn't want to do it the same day the movie opened.

As someone who has seen all the movies many time, owns the first 6, but not a hard core fan, I want a couple of questions answered.
Does the force run through R2D2?
Is Darth Sidious the father of Anakin or at least cause his mother to become pregnant with him?
Rey must be a Skywalker? why did it take an amazing coincidence to bring her into the resistance?

The reviews aren't great, both from critics and regular people who've seen it, and that's disappointing going in. But others have been panned before and in general I've liked all of them. So I am sure I will like this one just fine. I have my tickets for Sunday night and they will get used. All that said, a comment I've seen more than once on social media, and at this point it might be cliche, is no one hates Star Wars more than Star Wars fan. Certainly rings true in many ways as these years have played on.

    1) The Force runs through all living things... but you can probably handwave it in a way by noting that someone REALLY good in the Force made that bot, and it's been surrounded by strong in the Force people since then.

    2) That's an interesting theory, but nothing in the previous movies really gives much credence to it.

    3) Rey being a Skywalker would require Luke having a wife at some point, or Darth having secret kids. Neither is outside the realm of possibility, but feel kind of "cheap" as answers. I suppose she could be related to Leia, but that's kind of a big thing to not mention for multiple movies, that Han Solo and Leia had more than one kid.

I can't imagine a finale that's going to make everyone happy. I'm not sure Star Wars movies are generally reviewable with any degree of certainty.

We're all gonna go see it, because we want to know the answers to the questions. But maybe if you're thinking about doing a trilogy, keep the same writer for all three movies.

Also, my bold, completely-wrong, based on baity trailers guess is: Rey is a Palpatine.

Mostly try to avoid reviews. They’re definitely all over the place. I’m an admitted fanboi. Can’t imagine I won’t enjoy it.

Tix for Friday. Avoiding Twitter as much as possible. Asshole Spoiler Brigade seems to be mobilizing.
