I'd give folding money if this would break out into a brawl.

Oh I understand that many if not most are horrible folk but there are some that have to be embarrassed. Not every Republican is a shit head. Some must be ashamed. Right? Right?

They need to quite referring to this as a debate.
Call it what it is from both sides:
    Grandstanding.

I used to respect McCarthy and have spoken with him a few times. Nice guy. But how he has utterly sold out to fellate first the Tea Party then Trump has lost what ever respect I had for him.

It would take that many representatives to get California citizens equal representation with citizens of Wyoming.

I will give him credit for not being a raving lunatic like Collins, Jordan, Nunes, et al. At least he is speaking calmly.
He obviously knows that there aren't 4,435 members; he misspoke, but I will still bust on him for all the stuff you just said.

Alabama doesn't either. The Poarch Creek tribe has a couple, but all they have is "electronic bingo", essentially slot machines with the winning determined by a a formula loosely based on bingo. They are trying to get a bill through the lege to open a couple of full blown casinos which would include table games, offering a billion dollar incentive to the state for the license. Since Alabama is perennially underfunded because of insanely low property tax rates, the money is very attractive to the legislators. It helps that the Poarch also distribute many many dollars in political contributions. My take on that is that if the Poarch are willing to pay a billion, other casino businesses would probably pay at least double that for the franchise. Gambling, and the lottery in particular, is a tax on the mathematically impaired, but if they're going to spend the money I'd prefer that it stay in the state instead of funding Georgia's (andr other state's) schools, etc.

Other than that there are a couple of dog tracks and that's it for gambling in the state. Well, other than the ungodly number of millions which are illegally wagered on football every year, unregulated and untaxed.
