I think I can make it to Monday. Maybe. Possibly.

It's not as if I haven't had these spoiled before. A week or two before The Phantom Menace came out, I was visiting a friend who is even more of a Star Wars nerd than I am. She bought the soundtrack, which was released a week or two before the film. The titles of the different theme included the death of Qui-Gon Jinn and the death of Darth Maul. Now I had already guessed from the commercials that Qui-Gon was a goner, but I was still pissed about knowing too much going in.

Regarding The Mandalorian, I'm caught up, but I won't post about it except to say that was a hell of a set-up for the final episode of the season.

My thoughts exactly. My wife and I were at the breakfast table today, and she said, “I think I liked it, but did I?”

Looking forward to Monday or so to talk about it when most of the megafans have seen it. There’s a lot to unpack.

I liked it. Not without flaws but a good popcorn flick, as Star Wars movies are meant to be.

I forget how to do the spoiler thingy. So I’ll wait a few days. Definitely a lot to digest and unpack. Some things worked well. A few things didn’t.

Bought my Christmas Day tickets. Then some decent Chinese food. It’s a fine way to celebrate the birthday of a tribesman

Any critic who wrote a negative review of that movie can shove it straight up their ass.

A friend saw it a second time. Said he picked up a lot more tidbits upon further review because there's so much packed in there. Said he was initially "meh" but liked it more on second viewing.

I'll give it a few weeks, but will likely catch it again.

Box office numbers will be interesting. Generally, it feels as if people were skeptical but liked it.

Why? I just saw - it's a good Star Wars movie, but it's not a great movie, if that distinction makes sense. It basically just gave the fans of 7 but not 8 everything they probably wanted in the first place. It is the most Abrams-y movie ever in terms of warmed over nostalgia.

I said negative review. Not "this wasn't a great movie."

If you are a Star Wars fan to any degree and you didn't enjoy that movie, then I question whether you actually like Star Wars.

And if you aren't a Star Wars fan, then why the fuck were you there in the first place?

It's not The Godfather. But it's not 53 percent on Rotten Tomatoes or whatever the review score is, either.

I just looked it up. This is getting lower scores than Attack of the Clones. What the actual fuck?

I thought it was fine. I don't know - I'd give it a thumbs up, but I also don't think I'll want to watch it ever again. Like the movie is reaaallllyyy just playin' the hits. Again, I liked it, but I definitely understand why it's at 53 percent on RT, and why plenty of fans are probably going to be "meh" on it.
