I remember reading about it, but I wouldn’t have gotten it either.

It was Tommy Agee, more know for saving runs with his glove than hitting homers.

If it's who I think it is (after some research), that's a helluva long time ago.

Not Allie, though, he was one of the last starter/firemen out there.

Who are you thinking? Aka, it’s been done in the last 100 years.

That is it. I was looking at Ed Walsh’s stats and noticed he led the league in saves and wins twice on his career. Started to wonder who else had done it. Was fairly prevalent through 1920.

Elroy Face was 18-1 with 10 saves for the 1959 Pirates. Tied for fifth in both categories. Probably the closest in both leagues over the past 60 years.

Not a question, just a tidbit.
It's being reported that Ryan Fitzpatrick today became the first NFL quarterback to throw four touchdown passes in a game with five different teams. Looking through his career gamelogs, though, he's actually done it with six -- the Dolphins, Buccaneers (2018), Jets (2015), Texans (2014) and Titans (2013) and Bills (three times from 2010-12).
