I don't think the impeachment will end up making a bit of difference in the election - at least the Presidential one. It isn't like the vote suddenly changed people's minds about who to vote for. And if the Dems didn't do it, their party would have been demoralized and probably held back millions of donations that will make a difference downballot. If anything - sending it to the Senate, letting the Senate Rs do their thing and allowing Trump to go even crazier will only help the Ds. It isn't a coincidence that the Ukraine phone call was made ONE DAY after Mueller's less than expected appearance before the Senate Judiciary Committee.
