We started to watch it and when we heard the F bombs we said that wasn’t what Dickens wrote. It’s not that F bombs bother us, but no one needs an adult A Christmas Carol

I've never really put much effort into "figuring it out" - mostly just interested in the film making. But these last three episodes seemed really stretched out. If the final shot was Rami Malek curled up in a vegetative state staring at a snowglobe of a boy on his computer - I would have thought - "yeah, perfect."

    Great explainer here.

It did drag a bit, but it would have been weird to spend so much time with Dominique and not have her story reach a satisfying conclusion. So that episode was worthwhile, even if we didn’t need an entire episode to tie that knot.

Also, if Darlene and Dom end up in Budapest together Eliot wakes up in an empty hospital room and probably never reveals his true self, so that ended up being an important piece. A lot of the series revolves around Eliot’s and Darlene’s relationship, so it was cool that she was the one there to make it come full circle.

Also finished up Lodge 49 this weekend. Disappointed there won't be a third season - but the show is highly recommended (20 eps in all), there was nothing else like it on TV.

Normally not into "horror" stuff - but the first season of "The Terror" really hooked me - monster or no monster, just being set around arctic exploration. The second season is just as good - set at a Japanese internment camp. George Takei - who lived in one when he was a child - is particularly good.

You almost wonder if TV producers shoe-horn in a "horror" element into a story they've always wanted to tell on TV but wouldn't be able to get a greenlight without.

That was a fantastic show. Something about it resonated with me, it’s hard to explain.

Finished Ballers on HBO, mostly because I watched the first four seasons and eight 1/2 hour eps didn’t seem like too much of a commitment to finish it out. Like the entirety of the run, it’s a little too love with its cameos. It’s a little too in love with itself, honestly. Still, at least all of the storylines came to a plausible and satisfying conclusion.

Now back on the most recent season of Bojack Horseman, and per usual, it is excellent television.

It's a great show with an amazing soundtrack, one of the best on TV.

The Witcher... interesting. 2021 is a long time to wait.

Don’t Kill Cats on the Internet.
    Interesting. Awkward ending.

Belichek & Saban; great tv; those guys are so good as head coaches and leaders. Never a fan but I was so blind to their work. Their prep is phenomenal, would work anywhere. I’m at least learning now.
