My paternal grandma died in 2006. She was in declining health for a year or two, and she had a tendency to repeat herself on visits.

But.

But even at the end, on the day she died, she was able to say “you, too” when I kissed her and told her I loved her. She was aware of her surroundings and knew she was dying, but even in her final hours she was more coherent than Trump is today.

The man is in obvious physical and — more important — mental decline than anyone I have ever met. His rapid deterioration has been, frankly, shocking. He was a clown when elected, but now he’s a dangerous lunatic raving at windmills, for god’s sake. As such, he is completely unfit for office. If he lives to see Election Day, I will be surprised.

And not a bit unhappy.
