He's so full of shit - nothing has grown that much. Mine has done well, too, but c'mon.

But he continues to use the word "libtard," so that will be it. He's been told to stop doing that, if he can't communicate without the hate speech then he can find somewhere else.
The snowflake part is funny, considering his hero is the world's biggest snowflake. Thinnest skin of any human on the planet.

My mother's neighbor uses the libtard thing too.
I like being called libtard by somebody who dropped out of college.
The problem is obvious. We not only have sociopaths like McConnell advancing the "I got mine, Jack" objectivist philosophy, but people far down the food chain.
That he thinks one half-witted man is responsible for a robust economy is far more distressing, IMO.

Former cardinal Theodore McCarrick gave hundreds of thousands of dollars in church money to powerful Catholic clerics over nearly two decades, according to financial records obtained by The Washington Post, while the Vatican failed to act on claims he had sexually harassed young men.

Starting in 2001, McCarrick sent checks totaling more than $600,000 to clerics in Rome and elsewhere, including Vatican bureaucrats, papal advisers and two popes, according to church ledgers and former church officials.

Several of the more than 100 recipients were directly involved in assessing misconduct claims against McCarrick, documents and interviews show. It was not until 2018 that McCarrick was removed from public ministry amid allegations of misconduct decades earlier with a 16-year-old altar boy, and this year he became the first cardinal known to be defrocked for sexual abuse.

Catholicism today or Christianity today? A moral defunct religion, bastardized, for 1900 years from the original message. The largest tool for mass oppression, rape, genocide and conquest in the history of man. Evangelicals are merely the Gestapo of the Christianity.

Doc Holliday's pretty useless on this thread, but his language is far less offensive than either Starman or 'yab.

In recent months I've spent some time really studying Catholicism and it's been well documented that there is a big difference between The Faith and The Church. The movie The Two Popes does a decent job of exploring this question - justifying the cover-ups to "protect" the Church at the expense of kids. People have always used faith as a weapon - heck, it's right there in the Bible. Even abortion in the first trimester wasn't taboo until long past the founding of the church. Angels weren't introduced into Christianity until the 5th Century. The point is the Christianity we practice today is a lot different from the original teachings. A lot of stuff was "added in" to deal with problems that rose up in response to a specific era.

I grew up Catholic and now am pretty lapsed. My wife is aggressively unplugged ever since her father was granted an annulment to marry his second wife despite being married to her mother for 30 years. She's not sure what the church views her as if it views her parents' long, three-child marriage as non-existent.

Anyway, there are a lot of crazy elements of Catholicism, like there being bones or hair or something similar from a saint built into many (all? some? Not sure.) alters at the front of churches. There's a subtle belief in voodoo-y kind of stuff, tarot cards, whatever. Our priest used to give us lectures about never playing with Ouija boards. He also gave us lectures about how French kissing was a mortal sin. And once told us AIDS was sent by god to kill the gays. Nice guy, that priest was. Basically ran the town until he finally died.
