In one post, I suggested the worst thing Trump has done has hurt discourse. He’s done that in a variety of ways.

Simultaneously, I don’t think a certain poster’s disgusting line about a piano wire noose is “on Trump.” That’s someone who wants be profanely angry, and Trump provides cover to allow for it. That’s what I mean by discourse. What’s acceptable has changed. Trump’s supporters tend to be ugly in their support and it’s become fashionable, including here, to go on and on about fucko this and fatus that and, I’m calling it what it is.

 

I wish I could disagree with this analysis. I just hope that Trump goes down on criminal charges and become so odious within the GOP that his supporters have to run from the association. Not sure that's a realistic hope at this point.
