Swann does not belong. Someone like Sterling Sharpe does however and he can’t get a whiff of Canton. Swann had only 336 career receptions, which is a paltry total for a Hall of Famer. But he had the big moments and iconic catches on a dynasty. He’s a Steeler whose Canton candidacy benefitted from the association with those teams, while Greenwood and Shell have suffered bc people think too many Pitt players are in already.

Getting a delay of game on the half yard line is a boneheaded move 1000 times worse than the Wilson throw in the Super Bowl.

I'd love to see a AFC/NFC title game -- or Super Bowl -- where the QBs are Cam and Jameis.

It's quite remarkable that someone could be on a show for 10 seasons and never be a central part of anything. Every "Lucy" storyline was some manufactured filler outside of all other goings on.

The TNT "Dallas" had a flyover of Jerry's World.

    Great paycheck and residuals though.

We used to watch Dallas in college just to laugh at the sh*t that JR talked and did to others; JR was the best villian on TV in my 50+ yrs.

Absolutely. A team loaded with stars on both sides of the ball. They were phenomenal.

Oddly enough, the Wilson throw in the Super Bowl was set up by bad clock management. The Seahawks burned two timeouts earlier in that drive to avoid delay of game penalties, both times when the clock was stopped (once after an incomplete pass, and the other after Kearse's crazy bobble catch inside the 5). If they get to the 1-yard line with two or three timeouts instead of one, it almost certainly changes the play calling. Lynch gets at least one try, maybe two, to run it in and they're not locked in to thinking they have to pass at least once.

I don't understand how 2-play packages aren't a thing either in college or the NFL. Time and again the last few years I see a team make a play to within yards of the end zone only to meander around without a clue as to what play to call next, or taking too long to call one which give the defense a chance to catch its breath.

How bout NBC going to break with this one right after Lynch scored?
    Perfect song for it.

Great catch. NBC used to do stuff like that a lot more often when going to breaks then seemed to stop entirely in favor of generic riffs. Good to see those back again, it's just another reason why it's the best sports broadcast by far.
