Staying away from the hot takes is a good thing. For sure. Twitter will be at its worst.

No question this was a bad guy. What happens from here is going to be tense at best. The biggest fear has always been having this incompetent, unstable guy in charge during a crisis.

He campaigned on getting out of wars. This isn’t a step in that direction. I don’t think this country has the appetite for another major conflict. But it’s way too early to tell if this is the lead-in to something big.

 

The ball is in Iran’s court now.

 

I really don't think our country has the appetite for another Middle East war, nor does our country have the appetite for any kind of economic crisis.

If one or the other happens before the next election, I fail to see how this helps our current president?

And there is no plan and there never was - this was pure impulse.
