I wonder how Iran will respond. Have no idea, but pretty sure they'll wait awhile. With Trump's attention span, he's liable to have forgotten them by the time they hit back.

To be fair, according to the War Powers Act, the president doesn't need to notify Congress for 48 hours of committing troops or engaging in a hostile act. However, giving Israel a heads up that an angry hive of wasps is about to be knocked down next door is kind of helpful. As is tipping off a potential adversary who might jump in after we punch their friend in the nose.

Look, I didn't vote for Trump obviously, but at least he's level-headed, reasonable and methodical in his foreign policy.

Eric and Don Jr got jobs?

Valid question: Mr. Trump, will you encourage Barron to join the military when he’s of age?

Oh don't misconstrue my comment for an accusation that Trump is level headed in this matter My point is there are other things to criticize Trump about here. Who he informed first was actually less of a sin than some are making it out to be.

The obvious answer is some sort of cyber attack. It puts none of their people at risk, it isn't a bloodshed event (probably), and it does not require a huge arms budget, just computers, software, and some motivated hackers.

The other is that Iran has very functional guided missiles. They can put a fat explosive warhead on one and hit, say, our military HQ, using GPS for targeting. They can make a target book, an address book of targets if you will, capable of being uploaded quickly. Say the story breaks on CNN that the head of the Joint Chiefs is visiting Baghdad. If they have a source for eyes on targeting confirmation they could take out our in-country military commanders. They could even point out that it was a proportional response, killing our military commander in exchange for our killing theirs - and we shot first.

They could also foment a terror campaign targeting U.S. citizens, businesses, military and diplomats in surrounding countries, say Lebanon, Syria, Iraq. We're still a soft target in a general sense.
