I suspect that was a very deliberate use of "military sites" as opposed to "cultural sites".


"In an exclusive interview with CNN in Tehran, the adviser -- Maj. Gen. Hossein Dehghan -- made the most specific and direct threat yet by a senior Iranian official following the killing of Gen. Qasem Soleimani in a US drone strike in Baghdad.

Dehghan said Iran would retaliate directly against US "military sites."

Dehghan is a former defense minister and is now the main military adviser to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. He told CNN that reprisals would come from Iran itself, not its allied militia in the region.

 

And most of these boomers will be dead when we’re dealing with the radicalized blowback of this nonsense in 20 years.

A blood-soaked Kentucky man was arrested for allegedly killing and skinning his neighbors’ pet pooches — telling cops he wanted to make a “doggy coat,” according to a report.

Jonathan Watkins, 38, was covered in blood when he knocked on a neighbor’s house in David to ask for a cigarette on December 23, according to an arrest citation obtained by the Louisville Courier-Journal.

I've never been shy about being pro U.S. military. If you put one thing on my tombstone, just write "he served in the United States Navy."
I'm pissed that this draft-dodging asshole has put U.S. service members in danger. I'm even more pissed that some of the people who will inevitably be put in danger are young people who have come through my classroom.

I'm flabbergasted at the sheer balls or ignorance to blow up a foreign country's top military guy then say "you'd better not retaliate." Holy freakin goodness.

I honestly won't be upset with any of our traditional allies who decide to sit this one out because we deserve it. Our service members don't deserve it, but we as a country do.
