IMO it is about 1000 times likelier that an Iranian retaliation would take place in the Middle East than here. So much easier. There are US units in Iraq that have been partnering with Shia militias in anti-ISIS operations. Those units should be on the highest alert level they've got. A strike at Saudi oil infrastructure would be a good choice, too. Americans like Israel. Saudi Arabia not so much except for the Washington types that take its cash.
