He wanted to be the first kid on his block to get a confirmed kill of an Iranian military leader.

    Now he'll settle for testifying.

I had heard yesterday but finally saw in print today that Soleimani was scheduled to meet with the Iraqi Prime Minister on the day he was killed.

Imagine our reaction if a high ranking diplomat/military leader came here to meet the President and he was assassinated at the airport as he arrived on the day of the meeting. Hell, imagine Trump's reaction. Yes, Soleimani was a bad actor, but he was also Iran's de facto Foreign Minister.

It was a fluid situation. Soleimani should have called the airports beforehand. (Hi Boom!)

Bolton testifying won't help the cause against Trump. Bolton's a liar and a zealot. Even if Trump is both of those things, putting Bolton in front of people doesn't help.

So, we should trust and believe everything Bolton says when he's a Trump appointee and advisor, but nothing he says when he's testifying under oath before the full Senate, and subject to perjury charges?

So maybe we can get SOMEONE to testify who can explain the totally legit reason why the aid to Ukraine was being held up?

It should be easy, right? Surely since the aid was being held up, there was some administration official or working group who was investigating corruption in Ukraine. All we need is for the leader of that effort to show up to the Senate and explain what he was up to.
