War, huh? Sounds like a great idea.

Trump needs to work with our allies. Of course, he's spent years now badmouthing them, putting tariffs on them, and shitting on NATO. I'm sure they'll all line up to stick their dicks back in the Middle East wringer at his bidding.

Does this dickhead seriously think that a dozen rockets which did minimal damage are going to be the sum of Iran's response to having their guy murdered? He's an even bigger idiot than I thought.

Quarantine worked with Cuba. And if it has to escalate, escalate.

    Doesn't matter.

Whether Iran missed on purpose or not, it's a perfect face-saving exit for both sides, and we should be happy the administration took the opportunity to claim victory.

There were literally zero other palatable exit strategies.

    Escalate to what end?

    What's the victory condition?

Seriously? Iran isn't Cuba. It's got oil money, even if their cash flow is hindered by various sanctions. Moreover, it borders seven other countries, most of whom the U.S. has little influence on, as well as the Red Sea coast. It also has the Caspian Sea on its border, and if Russia loads up shiploads of arms or whatever else, do you think Trump will say a word about it to his Daddy Vlad?

That's all well and good as long as Iran swallows it's pride and outrage and does nothing further.

I seriously doubt that things play out that way. It would make sense, but you have to know that the domestic pressure for a revenge strike worthy of the name is huge.
