JD Vance is starting a venture capital fund to help start-ups in "under-served" cities like Salt Lake City, Atlanta and Raleigh-Durham. If you want to help "rural, working-class" people like those in "Hillbilly Elegy," do you go to metros with populations of 1.2m, 5.9m and 1.2m to do it?

I'm not convinced that many people would be more likely to vote for Biden if he picks Harris. It seems like the main people whose boxes she checks favorably would vote for Biden over Trump anyway. Going from left to right, 1) the Dems who dislike Biden for not being woke don't like Harris because she was on (what they see as) the wrong side of law enforcement; 2) African-Americans already support Biden; and 3) most 2016 reluctant Trump voters who might be comfortable with Biden wouldn't like Harris because: a) African-American; b) Jamaican/Indian immigrant roots; and c) California Dem = Nancy Pelosi/San Francisco/sanctuary cities. I doubt she'd help that much with non-college educated suburban women, as it seems like they'd be pretty comfortable with Biden anyway. Maybe she would help with college-educated suburban women who are turned off by Biden's hugging and/or concerned about his age but like Trump even less & would turn out to vote for a woman? If that's the thought, Klobuchar seems like she'd be more appealing to most of the groups mentioned above and no less appealing to the others, unless you think Harris would make a big difference in African-American turnout, which I doubt.

 

Here's something dumber than that: allowing a mendacious kleptomaniac/bigot/fraud/serial abuser/reality tv guy/Pizza Hut pitchman/ignorant tool to take over our foreign policy.

it was a good faith gesture by iran they know we mean business so they retaliated against those who did so much to mess with the most historic election ever but i guess nothing our allies do for us makes you happy now that trump is our president
