Aren't most of the protesters in Iran upset with leadership because they want a harder line against the US, not a softer one?

I’ve been told that most of them are in the streets to make

No, not all of them. An earlier wave of protests were about what is perceived correctly as the corruption and economic failure of the government. Then came the demonstrations after Soleimeni's death, which were national outrage and mostly by regime supporters. These latest ones are back to the earlier themes, plus anger at being lied to. If we Americans cared about that last, there'd have been millions of us in the streets every day for the last three years.

If only they'd given him that Match Game gig. Not trying to make fetch happen. It's just hard to not hear Gene Rayburn every time I read one of his tweets.

I watched Rob Reiner's "Shock and Awe" last night about Knight-Ridder's coverage of the build-up and the fake intelligence, con men and fearmongering that was used to justify the war in Iraq, Not a great movie - most of the dialogue is highlighted, printed in bold and underlined - but it deserves a spot in the 9/11 "canon" of films.

I can't believe the CIA or NSA didn't furnish the administration with talking points to guide this thing through.
