He had just been arrested and indicted the month before, so it's likely his lawyers didn't think it was a good move at the time. Must've changed their minds.

I always thought Pence was a gift from Trump to the Republicans
With all the ass kissing going on now it’s easy to forget none of them liked or wanted Trump
Pence is as right wing GOP as they come
The McConnells of the world thought of Pence as their guy, who could keep an eye on Trump
Of course, all of them are now caught on the Trump train and Pence has exposed himself as a bootlicker

Remember, when Trump was nominated no leading Republicans thought he could win. Pence was facing an election for Governor of Indiana he was expected to lose badly. It was a marriage of convenience for both of them. Trump got a reasonable name (Mike Flynn was another contender!) and Pence got a bailout from his election. If he lost as expected, onto the wingnut welfare train.

LOL. "Me and him didn't watch football games together. We didn't eat hot dogs. But he knew exactly who we were."

Hearing this Parnas interview ... leads me to believe that, at the end of the day, several GOP senators will vote to impeach.

Great interview. Parnas was being straight-up.

    Not enough to remove him.

Interview was good (we'll see more tonight), but I do agree with the sentiment upthread that it probably would have been better to just show the interview without the Maddow commentary interludes.

Just saw CNN's Manu Raju ask Martha McSally (R-Ari.) if the Senate will consider new evidence, to which she responded, "You're a liberal hack, I'm not talking to you."

It's pretty sad that people (the GOP, in particular) feel it's OK to speak to the people they govern in this manner. They demean themselves by treating people in such a shitty fashion. A simple "no comment" would have accomplished the same thing.
