America is a nation of nearly 330 million people. Many of them are at work today ... and do not care about television ratings on anything.

 

Well, yes. But the President of this nation cares about them immensely. Which is at least very weird and at most indicates he's not all there.

Senators can't do it since possibly the impeachment trial wouldn't be done by then. Senators also wouldn't give House members such a perceived plum without raising a ruckus. So Midwestern woman governor hits the sweet spot. PS: Republican or Democrat, it's the worst speaking gig in politics. Best you can hope for is nobody remembers what you said after it's over.

He had the perfect opening to give a shout-out to Larry Walker ... newly minted Hall of Famer of the COLORADO Rockies ... but didn't. Derp.

 

Trump's real influence on the Republican party is his lesson that there is no penalty for flat out lying, let alone for illogical reverses like that one. Just keep on hating the right people, and your voters will be happy. They're morons, so treat 'em like they are.
