    I don’t disagree. My only point was that there will be a time to completely dissect his legacy—good and bad—and today isn’t it.

    I don’t agree with that. For people who don’t really know him as well as sports writers do, they shouldn’t just turn on the news and hear him extolled without qualification. You can bet the rape allegations will be mentioned in the New York Times obit, as it should.
