    Perhaps 2,000 feet per minute was the vertical speed, or drop rate. The horizontal or flight speed was more than 150 mph.

    Shouts get clicks.
    Clicks get views.
    Views get advertisers.
    Advertisers + Views + Clicks + Shouts = $.

    I've not seen any remembrance of any of the 'secondary' victims other than the baseball coach.

    Two other kids are dead. It might have been nice for arenas to throw their names on the jumbotron last night as well, or for their names to appear on chryons.

    The outpouring of grief is a reminder of how much collective energy we as a society put into sports and sports athletes. Is it worth it? If you diverted funds from building a public arena/stadium you could solve a homeless problem in a major metropolitan area overnight. You could have free higher education. We don't need to have athletes making billions of $$; America's priorities are out of whack.
