That is the opinion of Democrats. The Republicans clearly need more convincing, but they are doing the congressional equivalent of sticking their fingers in their ears, closing their eyes and yelling "I can't hear you!" over and over again. They are refusing to do their jobs and you are backing their play because you can't see past the political laundry.

 

They should, but I just don't have enough faith in the voters nationwide to get this done.

That is one of the many things that I find disturbing about President Trump. He is actually willing to take action that potentially puts Americans in harm's way just to avoid the perception that he was wrong about something.

 

This should be the easiest layup message ever. "You wanted witnesses for a fair trial and the Republicans said, 'go fuck yourselves." They don't care what you think." Allegedly, it was feeling ignored by Washington that motivated Trump voters (of course that's false. It was the deep sense of personal humiliation and threat caused by having a black President).
