I'll say this for Limbaugh - he siezed the opportunity that the overturning of the Fairness Doctrine presented. Funny thing about the FCC's 4-0 decision to dump the FD - all four members (including two Ds) were appointed by Republican Presidents (3 by Reagan, 1 by Nixon). I do think the decline of radio and the rise of the internet and cable has made the FD largely moot.

He also came out in support for Bill Maher when they canceled Politically Incorrect. He understood the big picture; that the two of them are entertainers first and foremost. Well, he was an entertainer.

 

I hope Limbaugh makes a full recovery and has ample time for reflection, as Glenn Beck did.
