Jesus didn’t say it. Mr Morris said it. Is his a common belief among his peers or just his unique perspective?

let’s just ignore the misogyny of Mr Morris. His bullshit apology is SOP for the athletically inclined. And accepted by those who think patronizing bullies makes them feel less like victims.

Do you deny the accuracy of the quote?

Well, let's see. He was fined by the league, he apologized, and he got blasted in a statement put out by his own team.

So what's your point again, other than the obvious?

There's a better chance of going to sleep in my own bed and waking up in Australia tomorrow morning than there is of the Lakers losing this game tonight, right?

Probably. .. But I don't know how they go out and play after those tributes. I suspect the first quarter is going to be some ugly basketball.

Portland loved Kobe more than LeBron’s Lakers

Best clue to Adam Silver and Michelle Roberts DON'T SCREW UP A WORKING SYSTEM, I read this today:

    Tyler Johnson's expiring $19M/yr deal

    Who? What? When? Wow.

How much of a prima donna are you if you’re a 36-year-old who averaged 5.7 points per game last year, are under contract for $17 million and still refuse to play for the Memphis Grizzlies?

    The Iguodala thing is weird.

I don't think he's refusing to play so much as he doesn't want to and they don't particularly want him to. They only got him as a trade chip -- he doesn't fit what they're doing (although they're playing a hell of a lot better than anyone expected).

The thing that gets lost amid the speculation into where he'll go is... he looked done last year. Yeah, you get "veteran leadership," but that's not a big help if he can't hit a shot.

...and the teams that could most use him don't have players/picks that are all that attractive to Memphis.
