Better poll would be Trump v Democratic nominee

is there anybody here that will vote in a democrat primary, but vote for trump in a general election?

My point was...if you get shit for liking Trump, deal with it.

Somehow you took that...however you took it.

My God I was excited to have California's primary count for something but having Steyer and Bloomberg ads has made me wish for it to just fucking be over.

That said, I really like Mayor Pete but I'm bracing for Bernie to get destroyed by Trump.

Except for Biden and Bloomberg, pretty much all of them are acceptable to me. All would be competent presidents. All have a decent chance to win, with the headwind of a failing economy behind them. That their politics ranges from the left to the center-left doesn't matter much. They'll be limited by the Senate.

So, Warren...? Klobucher....? I'm not going to answer because I know it'll be a semi-random choice whenever I get my ballot and send it back.

I voted early by mail for Warren, and can only hope she'll be around later.

If she isn't, and depending on who is still around, I'd be OK with supporting Bloomberg (I'm not sure of everything about him, but he intrigues me, and I like that it seems like he genuinely wants, and tries, to do the right things with his wealth) and Buttigieg (He's gay, which I don't like, but, as I've mentioned before, he has grown on me. He seems intelligent and thoughtful, and I believe he'd be careful and cognizant of how he presents himself and would represent the U.S. well around the world).

That said, and with regard to your post, I suspect that my 88-year-old mom is right, and that "We're not ready for a woman president." Even though we'd like to think we are.

She, incidentally, is normally -- even at her current age -- one of the sharpest, most on-the-ball people you could ever know. She's still got all her marbles, but nonetheless has made it known that she'll be voting for Trump. I can hardly overstate the significance of this, because until the last election, she'd been a long-time registered Democrat. Now, she simply refuses to vote Democratic, the same way many here will just refuse to vote for Trump, no matter what. The contentious last election cycle, and Democrats' more recent discussion of the idea of full-term abortions sealed the deal. (You should hear her when she gets going about that:)! It's like, look out!...).

This is a great point, and something I've thought about -- that it might not matter much if there is a change from Trump to...anyone else. Unfortunately...

How any woman would “be OK with supporting Bloomberg” is beyond me. But whatever.

Colorado dropped caucuses and moved to a primary this year AND moved into Super Tuesday.

State is split three ways: One-third each for Democrats, Republicans and non-registered, though it's trending more blue.

I'm in the non-registered group. I got two ballots. (We do all mail-in voting here, which i great.) I ripped them both up.

See you in November, though I likely will get a chance to vote in the Senate primaries.

I like what I've heard and read that he's done with his money (including throwing a lot of it at women's issues, actually). And his focus on, first and foremost, getting Trump out of the White House is something that I and a lot of people can support. He's said some boorish things, and I don't love the fact that he's 77. But I think he's probably a similarly intriguing but politically more experienced and much better version of what Trump was (or what many hoped he would become) when he was elected in 2016.

I'm trying not to let one thing about somebody color my whole opinion or ultimate decision about them. I'm attempting to be thoughtful and weigh things. Not everything is black-and-white, and not everything should be.

Also, as I mentioned previously on this thread, I have a cousin who actually has worked for Bloomberg for years, in business, not for the election, and he thinks Bloomberg would likely be a very good president. That view goes a long way with me, and, in light of the campaign/election, I've tried to learn more about Bloomberg since then and have liked most of what I've seen, heard and read. At this point, at least, it makes me willing to consider him as a viable option.
