The head pastor's wife helps run children's church, so there's some built-in consistency.

Honestly, if our head pastor left, we'd probably be out the door too. He's very liberal, so hopefully the Western PA conference stays with him after the split comes.

I don't know and neither do you. My own opinion is closer to yours than it is to that of the true believers, but I'm talking about respecting others. You want people of faith to respect those who disagree with them, but you don't want to give them that same respect.

No, I didn't. But, then, my religion teaches it's the only one, and I find that claim and the religion itself convincing and meaningful. So, I wouldn't.

At any rate, I'm not into bagging on most other religions, but working within my own to make it the most realized version of itself it can be. Which is why I'm more critical ITT of the phony branding of holy water than I am some other religion.

I personally find most self-proclaimed atheists to be inch-wide, two-inch-deep thinkers though. Mostly, they're interested in being contrary to the best-known religions in the West. You wanna bag on Christianity and denounce, hey, I'm here for that tussle. A blanket rejection requires knowing a quite a few things.

Keep shifting the burden and framing the debate to suit you.

Make some irrelevant point to obtusely avoid addressing my statement. Fine. "Do you give either of those foolish beliefs from 900 years ago any thought?

You are rejecting every religion but one without knowing most of those things, which is more arrogant than what an atheist would say. Your opinion of atheists is rooted in ignorance and the inability to see past your bible and respect others who don't share your faith. Once again, you have revealed yourself to be a hypocrite who doesn't even see that he is exhibiting the qualities he complains about in others.

I answered your question. You asked me something with zero context that didn't follow from the conversation we were having. I'm not avoiding you. I have no idea what you are looking for or where you thought you were leading me. I answered what you asked. Yes, I give them thought. I was obviously thinking about those hypothetical people from the past and what they believed when I posted it.

What exactly are you trying to pull from me, because your posts aren't as clear to me as they are to you? Sorry.
