    Our church.

Every time there's talk of renovation, expansion, replacing the floors, adding air conditioning or even termite repair, there's this huge outcry, "What would [woman with three names who was well-known in the area] think?" We can't get rid of a ratty old couch in the study because that was hers. The communion bread has to be made specifically with her recipe, because "that's how we've always done it."

This lady has been DEAD FOR THIRTY YEARS. Does anybody think she'd actually object if we somehow moved on from 1990?

    I don't think that's the plan, initially.
He surrounds himself with bad people who could not find work in any other administration.
Then he turns on those people, or they on him, they get ousted and have no recourse than to write books.
I don't think all of these fucks want to necessarily grift, either. They just want a fat paycheck to do a whole lot of nothing, which is the real American dream.

What, exactly, has Stacy Abrams done that makes people comfortable with her being a few heartbeats from the Oval?

That's why she gets short-listed as a candidate. I'm asking why she should get any further than that. She seems to be a person who would have been a good governor, and she has a legitimate beef about how the R candidate abused his position as Secretary of State to screw her on the vote tally. I like her. That said, Biden's age is an issue. He needs to provide a VP candidate that is well known and proven to be competent, both to de-fang his age as an issue and to reassure voters that if something did happen to Joe the country would be in good hands.

I'm sure that Bernie's decision to cancel his speech in Mississippi and go to Michigan will go over well there. He was supposed to speak on his positions in support of African-Americans, but blew it off. That should help him get more black votes in the South.

Trump's visit to CDC in Atlanta is back on, hours after it was canceled due to coronavirus worry

"However, Trump said after he signed the bill that he could still end up visiting the CDC. He said there was a person suspected to have coronavirus at CDC on Thursday, but the test had come back negative. “I may be going. We’re going to see if they can turn it around,” Trump told reporters after he signed the bill.

Indeed, Grisham said that a woman at the CDC who had been suspected of having coronavirus ultimately tested negative."

Yup. He was scared he'd catch it. At the CDC. Science is completely beyond him.
