No. Next year is when I hope enthusiasm in March will reach that stage.

 

Comic Con scheduled for Seattle next week is off. Tentatively postponed until summer.

 

That's going to be a massive clusterf. Thousands of non-refundable hotel rooms (and some airline tickets, same), refunding thousands of con tickets. It is obviously the smart thing to do, but it's going to be a mess.

 

It is a little odd to watch this thing spread quickly and find its way to my area. There were a couple of cases in New York City. An attorney from Westchester County was exposed in the city and brought it back home. As of yesterday, that one exposure led to 18 confirmed cases in Westchester. Two people from neighboring Rockland County were both exposed while spending time in Westchester County.

Cue school closings in Rockland County by some time next week. There were already some in Westchester.

A few hours ago, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that there are 33 total confirmed cases in New York State. More than half are traced back to that one attorney.

Damn lawyers.

 

I’ve got a convention in Vegas next week. Still on as far as I know. I’m staying away from mass people. Dinners, golf, and gambling.

 

Obviously the answer is No. trump voters will not allow uninsured people, including children, to get test or vaccinated.

the better question would be can a fetus get vaccinated without insurance? That will leave the slackjawed right wing death merchants hanging for a moment.

 

I’ll be in Vegas the 13-21. Good news is I’m going to be busy so I won’t be hanging out in casinos or doing any other bullshit most nights. Last time I was there it was grasshoppers. Now it’s coronavirus. I’m starting to think it’s me.
