He'll probably lose 50 percent of his Mississippi voters with this move, dropping from 2-1.

That's the Sanders plan. Ignore them and then have his cult gaslight 'em.

Viability means qualifying for delegates by getting over 15 percent of the vote. Every delegate he picks up is one less for Biden.

Latest Florida poll has Bernie at 12.

That's not good. 12 is bad. Not viable. But if he gets to 15, it makes a difference. A delegate in a state you win by 40 counts the exact same as a delegate in a state you lose by 40.

For sure, Bernie would need Congress for M4A. I was merely arguing against the notion that he would be sitting on his hands for four years.

WaPo reported that he has a list of things he plans to do via executive authority if elected, such as reversing Trump’s immigration policy, halting construction of the border wall and granting legal status to undocumented immigrants who were brought to the U.S. as children. He also plans to import less expensive prescription drugs from Canada, legalize marijuana, declare climate change a national emergency and cancel federal contracts for firms paying workers less than $15 an hour. He can do all of that without Congress.

Elizabeth Warren had said repeatedly that she would cancel most student debt on her first day in office, and the Dept. of Education has the authority to do it.

McConnell is already promising that if a Dem is elected he will completely shut them down as he did Obama.

Under a Democratic President, McConnell Vows a Return to Total Obstruction | Washington Monthly

"If a Democrat wins the presidential election in November, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has already promised what he’ll do.

“If I’m still the majority leader in the Senate think of me as the Grim Reaper. None of that stuff is going to pass,” McConnell said while speaking to community leaders in Owensboro, Ky.

McConnell noted that if Republicans win back the House or President Trump wins reelection “that takes care of it.” But he pledged that even if Republicans lose the White House, he would use his position as majority leader to block progressive proposals…

“I guarantee you that if I’m the last man standing and I’m still the majority leader, it ain’t happening. I can promise you,” McConnell added."

The only thing that I can add to that is that the turtle and the R's will be even more adamant than this about Sanders' more liberal programs.

These are really the issues Sanders needs to bring up at the next debate. I'd like to think Biden realizes he has a lane where he only needs to be "this side" of Bernie to win. Curious to see if Biden moves a little bit more to the left. Student debt is a big issue as is health care. I think they are pretty much the same when it comes to immigration and climate/environment.

I think he lost Misssissippi something like 84%-16%. I guess there's joy to be had that it was above 15% but it seems like a hollow celebration

538 doesn't offer a lot of hope. Sanders needs Michigan and can't lose Washington (which polls say he may).

Except that most states, certainly in the South, he's not hitting as high a number as last time.
