President Trump: The NEW one and only politics thread

My dad is kind of strange. I don't know that I've ever heard him actually say Trump's name too much, but he's full on board with the agenda because he's been retired for two decades and has nothing better to do except sit around all day listening to Fox and Rush. It's poisoned his mind. Most of the nonsense he says is 100% anti Democrat talking points. It's never really pro Republican or Trump.

My two brothers-in-law are full onboard with the agenda, too, because of the tax breaks. They both make $300-400K a year and have benefited greatly. One is a defense contractor. The other is an extremely high corporate VP who is against government regulations. I don't think they really pay too much attention to what's going on beyond their 401Ks. They are Boomers who got theirs. Thankfully, we discuss fishing and beer. We never bring up politics.

 

Defense contractors should be the most nonpartisan of Americans. No matter who's in power, they make out fine.

I’ve said it before about my Father in law. Always leaned conservative but is a full on Trumper now, his wife even more so.

Super generous people who have helped out so many with time and money. I know this is “I have a black friend” territory but he has been the only white guy invited to black weddings. His own remarriage looked like a UN convention.

They have Fox on constantly and I think it’s poisoned their brains.

 

I just got back from the gym and FNC is on one of the TVs in the cardio area. They had something about Bernie v. Hillary. And the rest of the time was about how Tulsi was being screwed out of the next debate. It’s a propaganda arm, nothing more.

 

And the cable network that calls Tulsi a "Russian asset" is not a propaganda arm. No siree.
The network that didn't give her a town hall before New Hampshire and did give one to Andrew Yang, whom she would up beating in that primary. It's not a propaganda arm. No siree.

Confirmation bias is a hell of a drug.
