Nobody shut down anybody.

This is why I look at videos of the Flower Power generation and shake my head. Many of them are now Trumpists who worship at the First Church of Fox. When people say the Trumpists have a long term problem because their klan is dying off, I remember that today’s viewers are going to be replaced.

 

I try to explain this to the hopeful liberals who proclaim, "A lot of 17-year-olds will be turning 18 before November!"

Yeah, and a lot of 39-year-olds will be turning 40, too.

 

The majority of the boomers weren’t hippies. It’s important to remember that. They like riding that narrative but it’s fiction.

 

That's very true. While the head cheerleader and starting QB might have been smoking dope by the mid-70's, the percentage of honest to god hippies was always small.

 

My mother was born in 1950. Graduated high school in 1968. We watched the Woodstock documentary that was on PBS last year. About two thirds of the way through she texted me and said, “we didn’t know anything about this when it was happening.”

We need to stop with this crap that everyone who supports President Trump is a racist. It isn't true and it serves no purpose other than to make the decent people on that side of the aisle dig their heels in even deeper.
