My parents are ardent Trumpies, much to my chagrin, and like most families with Trumpies in them, we don't talk politics.
However, not all people who voted for Trump are racists. Misguided? Sure. But not racists. And my parents most assuredly aren't. The worst punishment ever dealt out to a kid in my family was for calling a neighborhood kid a Hispanic slur within earshot of my parents. And they have a mix-race grandchild they love as much as any other 21 grandchildren. They are not racist.

There are no decent people on that side of the aisle. They need to be shamed, disgraced and defeated.

The one thing this country really needs, nobody can even speak out loud.

You’re wrong. Those people have had 3+ years to prove to the rest of us that they are indeed decent. Instead, they have self-selected to support wholeheartedly an unabashed racist who has never missed an opportunity to prove his bonafides.
Ergo, they too are racist. Everyone’s loved ones who support trump are racists.

An enema that cleans out the racists and Fox News devotees?

He’s not just racist, he’s a simpleton and dullard that doesn’t understand a damn thing about government, business, science and economics. He’s a bully and molester. He’s exactly what his voters are, intellectually lazy and morally bankrupt. He’s their excuse to just let go.

It’s like if 40% of the country collectively decided that eating a relatively healthy diet with moderate exercise was as bad as AIDS and Cancer together. These folks decided to eat McDonalds everyday and proclaim that if 1 BigMac for lunch is good, 2 are better. Applebee’s is the new Prime Rib. Bad taste, bad judgement, never doing the homework, not showing up for class and making up the answers for exams and demanding A’s is the new Conservative party. A philosophy of lazy sloths

We’ve had 30 years of people like Limbaugh telling listeners that fuel efficiency or prohibiting where smoking is allowed is “big guvmint overreaching!” So, of course these nitwits think any kind of push for improvement is somehow an attach on their choices.

I had to rent a car to drive from Pennsylvania to Connecticut last weekend for work. They were out of what I requested and upgraded me to a new Volvo S60. This thing was a V6 that easily did 80 miles an hour while getting 30 MPG on regular gas. That was impossible 25 years ago. Who the hell is arguing that this is a bad idea? “Paying more fer gas iz MAH RIGHT!”

We can't grow black currant in our backyard.

But I guess that's somebody's idea of a "push for improvement".

Yeah, count me among those who say don't cast too many stones before calling all Trump voters this or that. Some are misguided. Some are ill informed. Some can't see past their own self interest. That doesn't make them bad people. That makes them human.
The rally attendees and the sycophants, sure. They deserve to be called everything in the book.
Some people need to get off their idealistic high horse before they get bucked off and land in their own pile of shit.
