What is frightening as a former health care worker is that those front line caregivers are going to be exposed at a much higher rate than the general populace simply by the nature of their jobs. They're going to die. They're going to infect their families. As this thing continues to grow, particularly if it becomes an honest to god pandemic killer, they'll have to decide whether they continue to risk going in to work or to stay home. The implications of losses to the pool of health care employees from doctors on down to hospital janitors are obvious.

 

The first case in Vermont was just announced and the patient is quarantined here in Bennington.

Rumor is that it's a "celebrity" type from Manchester but no confirmation of that.
