Also shows just how much people hated HRC in 2016. This primary season has made that abundantly clear.

When Eisenhower ran, he promised a return to normalcy
    Biden can do the same

I'll vote for him in November and work to get voters out - but dang, his campaign really didn't do much to earn the victory. His volunteer/active support was tepid at best. I can understand why people who knocked on hundreds of doors, spent time away from their families and donated to other candidates feel underwhelmed. I think the truth is that there are a lot of people out there who don't follow every every new development of every campaign and still think highly of Biden. He's developed a lot of goodwill.

The Michigan exit polls on CNN.com are interesting. Generations, unions, the male/female split. Worth a look. Not sure an early end to the primary is a good thing for the Ds in terms of building support for a candidate who pretty much was a last resort for many voters. It would probably be good if Biden continued to tour the country and build enthusiasm for downballot races.

At a certain point, you’re a pathetic joke.

Gabbard is well past that point.

People are still discussing whether the Bernie Bros or Yang Gang will support the Democratic nominee in order to beat Trump or be petulant brats.
    Let me make another analogy.
I love pumpkin pie. The waitress says they don't have pumpkin pie. They have blackberry.
I get mad and pout. I don't particularly like blackberry.
The waitress gets tired of waiting and brings me a turd sandwich.
Take the blackberry. It may not be your favorite, but at least you get a slice of pie and not a plate full of shit.

Bernie flew home to VT and isn't even speaking tonight.

I wonder if he realizes it's over.

People like this never understand how polarizing they are.

Bernie has bad ideas, period- and those bad ideas have been adjudicated.

There are a few problems with that, though. People who are voting for Biden seem, at least to me, to be saying that they want to return to how life was when Obama was president. But Biden needs to acknowledge that there were still a lot of people left behind under that administration. Andrew Yang just articulated that on CNN better than I can.

Many people cannot just go back to life as we knew it before Trump. They have massive medical and/or school debt. They can’t afford to go to college, or send their kids. Millions don’t have health insurance at a time when there’s a pandemic. People cannot afford to miss time from work because they don’t have paid time off, and they can’t have kids because their employer and state don’t offer paid family leave. These are real issues and Americans deserve better than simply going back in time.

The argument against some of that is that 57 percent of voters in Michigan said that they wanted M4A. They liked his big idea.

But more of them said that they wanted someone who could beat Trump, and that’s a big reason Biden won the state. It wasn’t Bernie’s ideas.

Not all Bernie's ideas are horrible, some are pretty good. The real hardcore Bros will piss and pout because Biden won't deliver any of those things fast.

But he would edge things along in those directions, get us closer.

If Fatfuck and his fascist regime retain power, you're getting none of it. Period. None. And probably getting dragged to prison if you don't like it.

It’s on the table. He knows how polarizing his extended campaign was in 2016. The question is whether he values beating Trump over his ideals.
