Oh, yay. The sort-of doctor graces us with his presence then runs away.

Can we at least get a take on gold futures while we're languishing in this hellscape?

I know a guy at Smith-Bethleham that gave me a hot tip. Short frankincense, and thank me later.

So is your answer to DanielSimpsonDay’s question “neither”?

It's not a "take." It's what I've learned in the course of going out of my conscious attempts to read, find out and inform myself about Islam and its history and particular idiosyncrasies, which, unfortunately, don't apply only to extremists, although they are the ones who cause all the problems. But that is because they, as I've said before, are the ones who are actually closest in alignment with the religion's roots and beliefs.

Simply put, I would never follow Islam, or encourage anyone else to do so.

A Christian actually has the nerve to talk about another religion's history given the atrocities that have been perpetrated over the centuries in the name of Jesus Christ? You're funny.

As I said, your bigotry is showing. The same is true of your ignorance.

According to the imam, terrorists are in hell.

Not a lot, but some. Enough. But it doesn't matter much, anyway, because it's not the people I have a problem with. I'm not afraid of those I know or have met, and I don't hate them. I'd happily and interestedly attend your inter-faith meetings, just because that's how I am. I'd be fine engaging with anyone who went into them with a similarly open mind.

But that doesn't change the true nature of the religion, its history, or its problem-causing particulars.

I go along with the idea of Muslims being our cousins/brothers/sisters/whatever in faith, because, as Christians that's how we should and are taught to view/treat others, anyway. But they are not worshiping the same God. Not by any stretch.

Abrahamic faiths worship the same God.
