Muh Muh Muh My Corona (virus)

Markets ought to be a wild ride today. Expecting more trading halts at the open, thanks to CheetoJesus' useless address last night.

 

Especially given the ages of a whole bunch of them.

 

Powers that be floating the very real idea of a 2-week "National Holiday" where everything would close, everyone would self-quarantine, and the Federal Treasury would pay all salaries nationwide.

Wow.

 

The Dow below 21,500 just after the open. Could be below 21,000 by the closing bell. Amazing.

 

This stock market ride is like being at the worst blackjack table ever.

 

We’re in the middle of trying to buy a house we can barely afford and sell a condo we were hoping to get top dollar for.

“What’s the worse thing that could happen?” I asked three weeks ago. “Unless something insane happens and it’s impossible to sell our condo, this is foolproof.”

So that’s fun.

 

Seems to be a directive from the NHL. Something is up.
