It's spread throughout the world - clearly this administration has dropped the ball in how it's handled things since. Bad info, no info, low balling the risk and making it worse that it may have been if handled better. Other countries are doing a better job with it no doubt by jumping on it quickly and minimizing the spread. That's all I was saying. That post from Alabama denying that it was a problem there and reporting no cases is insane. Maybe they'll take it seriously if they have to cancel the Tide's spring football game.

Still, though: Other countries were prepared. We were not.
Because Fucko slashed the budgets of the CDC and other crisis agencies.

It's not just about now. It's about before, too. It's all through this thread.

Nothing is more white American than bitching about having your Disney trip postponed on Facebook.

I was thinking about this hiatus. I can only imagine what a nightmare it will be for some things to be rescheduled for later in the year, and how we'll see things crammed into the last half - so I'm trying to figure out what those things are that I've never seemed to have time for because of other "stuff" and commitments that won't be happening in the near future. Hoping to read more books, maybe take that trip to Mt. St. Helens I've never found time for, organize and clean is always a good one, replace my headlights and hit the gym more often. You often hear that "life gets in the way" of things - it's kind of nice to have this pause to stop and look around.

New York did that yesterday. I’m guessing K-12 public schools in the state will all be closed by the end of next week. Ohio, Maryland and Georgia made that decision yesterday.

We got an automated call at 11:30 last night that my daughter’s entire district is closed today because the family member of one student tested positive.

LOL! The number is two. I'm not hiding from anyone. I'm ignoring hate.

I was referring to BTE. I consider using the button to be hiding, but you can call it what you like.

It would be wrong to hope Ivanka, Bill Barr and Kellyanne got it ... but

I mostly agree, but I've muted two particular people on occasion, not to hide, but to keep their disgusting posts off my radar for a few days. Then I unignore.

But using the button and then shit-talking about using the button is definitely some coward-ass shit.

My town, and most other towns in Boston's western suburbs, announced yesterday schools are closed through the 27th. May reopen the week after. May not, too.
