I got some takeout at a popular Thai place. It would normally be packed. Takeout would take 45 minutes to an hour. Got it in 10 minutes. There were five people in there.

Is it possible to have regular flu and coronavirus at the same time? Seems like it would be - if not, we'd just want to give people the regular flu, or a flu vaccine. Also, it seems like the people who do things that put them at high risk of catching one would be at high risk of catching the other.

If it is possible to have both, then what happens if you test positive for regular flu, take medications & precautions appropriate for that, but do nothing about your coronavirus?

A professional photographer who sells his NASCAR pics to the media just posted on Facebook, "We should quarantine all media to stop the coronavirus."

Took me almost a half-second to unfriend him and block all posts. And I've known him for 20 years.

Costco must love all the business. I'm sure they, like other wholesale retailers, are making a killing.

Our kids had sleepovers yesterday so my wife and I were looking for dinner. We went to a Shawarma place and it was empty. Iasked the guys working where everyone was and he said Skip the Dishes (Canadian version of Uber Eats) and take out were busy but nobody eating in. Food was delicious as usual.

    Annnnnnnd that's why I don't do Facebook.
Apparently it turns otherwise rational and decent people into morons. I don't see posts, but regularly someone will mention a post another person made that is completely out of character (or perhaps character revealing).

All those people crowding the store, standing in line, etc. . . . so they can stock up on stuff to be away from people . . . after they've already contracted the virus . . . at Costco.

I am finding lots of great info from Facebook ... and plenty of the nitwits.

That is what I expected, but they did both tests at the same time. I have a respiratory problem (asthma) and I found out Friday that someone at a meeting I attended Thursday night have been exposed. Perhaps one of those factors convinced them to just do the Carina test without waiting to eliminate everything else. I also got the impression that the lack of enough isolation rooms was a bigger issue than a lack of test kits.

Hah. I was going to ask on the thread if we want to postpone until April with the start of the season so far off. I’m good either way. Just be kind if I make some interesting picks due to the fever.
