Most commodity businesses in such a situation are looking more at the replacement cost for what they're selling than the cost paid for the units that are currently in inventory. The profits and losses of trying to do it otherwise flatten out over time.

FATUS does sound ill here, doesn't he?
Might not be the virus, but it sounds like nasal congestion.

I was just reading this piece about farmer suicides. I hate the someone feels they are in such a way that ending it is their only option.

Nobody is telling you on the 24 hour news networks, but U.S. farmers are saddled with near-record debt, declaring bankruptcy at rising rates and selling off their farms in the midst of a turbulent market, caused by everything from shifting weather patterns and wildly fluctuating crop prices, to tariffs and bailouts connected to the current trade wars.

How many of them realize that every time they've thrown the voting lever over the past few years, they've contributed literally to their own demise?

Doesn't matter to them. They are voting for the person and party that tells them white rural residents are a superior form of human being.
