Since I'm not supposed to, you know, actually go anywhere, but I am supposed to "help these workers suffering from lost business," should I just drop by the local restaurant and slip a $100 bill under the door for the wait staff?

Speaking of good Christians...the churches in my neck of the woods have decided the homeless are too sick to have stay in their Christian facilities during this epic time of need.

LAX, the international terminal, was similar to O'Hare last night. Huge crowds jam-packed together. Four- to six-hour waits. People were fearful of not being allowed to get back to their home countries if there is a "no in or out" ruling.

A friend on a Panama Canal cruise made it to Puerto Vallarta. Trip canceled, was supposed to fly back to the U.S. today.

Another friend, who lives half the year in a small town 45 miles north of Puerto Vallarta, said on Friday that there was no sign of Coronavirus preparedness at all. On Saturday, their grocery store panic started and supplies were running low.

 

Even in Trumpist states, the governor is urging caution. But in those states, the Trumpist klan feels empowered to thumb their noses at common sense and public decency.


I tried to find any reporting on how many cretins actually showed up, but there's nothing. This is what happens when journalism gets shuttered, something that began happening long before Trump exacerbated this crisis.
