When he trotted out the "If I shoot somebody on Fifth Avenue, I won't lose any votes" nonsense, I laughed at the time. How ridiculous, I thought.

Turns out, he was right.

It's a cult. And that fucking moron has people following him to the Kool-Aid, and he doesn't give a rat's ass.

Could be Social Darwinism, or it could be that racism is so entrenched in our national psyche, particularly after the Obama presidency, that we haven't come nearly as far as we may have once thought.

This is gonna get real bad. No sports? No diversions of any kind? In June, July? We're talkin' the violence of 1968. I watched it on black-and-white TV. And it was black. And white. And it was really, really bad.

 

Even if I did, I wouldn't tell you? Is this the first time Trump has been honest in three years of being president?

 

Between that and stating that he didn't believe he was responsible, he's said the two most honest things of his Presidency in the last 50 hours. Progress, I guess

 

I remember when I looked pityingly at Italy and wondered why they put up with Berlusconi.

At an absolute minimum, Flynn was a paid lobbyist for Turkey at the same time he held the post of National Security Advisor, and he lied to the feds. Minimum.

 

I hope the Democrats in September through October saturate the airwaves with Trump saying he's not responsible.

The economy tanked: "I'm not responsible."
Coronavirus turned into an epidemic: "I'm not responsible."
Small businesses failed: "I'm not responsible."
Mr. President, what are you responsible for?
