Muh Muh Muh My Corona (virus)

The linked article cites widespread drug abuse as well as many other problems. Reminds me of when our embassies in Africa were trying to help African governments fight HIV/AIDS. We sometimes would hear that it was tough to generate enthusiasm about large-scale efforts to fight the spread of HIV when there were so many other diseases (especially malaria where I was), and HIV was just another problem.

If this is correct, and Jared Kushner's brother just opened a coronavirus testing company, we might know why the testing roll-out has been so slow.

I'm too ignorant to know how to link or embed a Tweet, but I happened upon this from AOC's feed. Good for her; maybe her target audience will pay attention to her even if they don't heed more traditional authority figures.

To everyone in NYC but ESPECIALLY healthy people & people under 40 (bc from what I’m observing that’s who needs to hear this again): PLEASE stop crowding bars, restaurants, and public spaces right now. Eat your meals at home. If you are healthy, you could be spreading COVID.

 

God doesn't need a building.

 

It happens sometimes. If it breaks off on the way out, you're going to be in there for 45 minutes trying to wipe clean. Might as well save time and shower.

 

I've seen many churches around here holding virtual services through streaming services, like Facebook live.

 

We're told God is everywhere and that we can talk to God any time.

Yet, for some reason, we're also told God needs a building and a middleman. And we buy it. Well, they buy it. I stopped with all of that voodoo 30 years ago.
