Leader in the clubhouse is Klobuchar. Female, Midwestern, her state was definitely in play in 2016.

True, if you can win as a Democrat in Henrico County, you're a good candidate. If I'm not mistaken that was Eric Cantor's seat, no?

Do seriously think Biden is going to cut social security? Things change. Minds change. Both guys have long voting/talking records that bring them trouble in 2020. Both try to minimize the damage and move on.

And if you’re comparing Biden to Trump on lying, I can’t take you seriously. That’s full on Bernie Bro territory.

Biden is going to be the nominee. It’s over. Time to decide if you want to lose the federal courts, SCOTUS, what’s left of health care, and so on.

It was, until he was primaried by the aptly-surnamed Dave Brat.

You’re right, I shouldn’t have said “pathological liar.” I should have said that he has no problem lying repeatedly to the American people on national television, even when there’s ample evidence to show he’s lying.

This, after he said that we need to elect someone who will be straight with the American people (as Trump has not been about many things, including coronavirus).

Biden is much better than Trump. There. But we all want our president to stop lying to us. I don’t think that’s too much to ask.

I'd like Bernie to stop lying to us. I'd like to know how he's going to pay for M4A and his Green New Deal, when they're a combined $45T.

No amount of fucking tax increases in the world can fund that.

Republicans already control the Supreme Court, sadly.

And just because I’d vote for Biden in a GE versus Trump doesn’t meant he shouldn’t be held accountable for his bullshit.

    To piggy-back/expand on this:

If the idea of just getting Trump out of the White House, and that being the only thing that matters, were not in play, how happy or enthusiastic would Democratic voters really, actually, be with supporting either Biden or Sanders?

I think this is the least happy about any election that I've ever been. I don't want to vote for Trump, but also can't seem to get solidly behind either of these other guys. (I'm a registered Democrat).

    Just speaking for myself...

I like Biden. I've always liked Biden. I thought his campaign was dead in the water before South Carolina, and he's never been a great candidate. I think he'd be an excellent president, though. He means well and he's a skilled statesman. I'm fine with that choice.

Sanders? If there was a sentient adult on the other side I'd seriously have to consider it. Like, Romney or Kasich? Don't know how I'd end up voting. (And it wouldn't matter, because either of those guys would beat Sanders in a rout.)

Fair point. Clarify: Does anyone want Trump to replace RBG or any other justice?
