    Lovely.

“Global mortality rates over time using a 14-day delay estimate are shown in the figure, with a curve that levels off to a rate of 5·7% (5·5–5·9), converging with the current WHO estimates. Estimates will increase if a longer delay between onset of illness and death is considered. A recent time-delay adjusted estimation indicates that mortality rate of COVID-19 could be as high as 20% in Wuhan, the epicentre of the outbreak.6 These findings show that the current figures might underestimate the potential threat of COVID-19 in symptomatic patients.”

Are you insane? Take a family vacation right now? Most schools are still teaching using online classes. And if you left the country, odds are you won't be able to get back in.

I didn't necessarily mean flying - it was more of a question of if you know the kids won't have school for a few weeks and things are slowing down at work and everyone is kind of isolating themselves anyway - might now be a good time to spend a couple of weeks at a beach house or cabin or wherever - as opposed to later in the year when we'll all be playing catch-up with work, school and extracurricular activities.

Photographer at our shop is leaving tomorrow for a Florida trip planned for months. Refuses to let pandemic cancel it.

    Stupid is as stupid does.

State parks might be closed if your state shuts down all non-essential offices.

I'm guessing I-75 and I-95 north are going to be jam packed this week with snowbirds trying to get back into Canada or their northern hometowns before 1) they run out of food, 2) they run out of gas, 3) they run out of toilet paper.

The RV park we're staying in is in a tizzy this morning. It may be a ghost town by Saturday.

True. But the hiking trails will be open, so there will be something to do outside at least.

Just went to local supermarket. They usually get deliveries Monday morning, so I expected some shortages, but it was all very hit and miss. Plenty of TP, but few paper towels. Kleenex in good supply, thank heavens. No milk of any kind. They were cleaning the butcher's area very assiduously. All forms of produce OK. Bakery had nothing.
Oh, and Moddy, thanks for sharing!
