Why is this nation so goddamn bad at math?

Would the better play be to see the market "settle out" without "artificial" support to have a better understanding of what and where market supports could do the most good? At this point it seems like the the government is only going by the drop in the Dow - reacting to that decline, rather than responding to the underlying causes of the decline. Like wiping noses with dollar bills instead of spending the money on drugs to stop the nose from running.

I have MSNBC as my math tutor - yes, total cost would be about $330b. So HALF of the annual defense budget.

There would be about $5700 for every American if that $1.5T the Fed pissed away Friday was just distributed equally.

Now there is a formula. Debase the dollar yet more by creating $1.5 trillion out of thin air and stuff the money in people's pockets. Of course by the time you finish, you can expect to need to hand out wheelbarrows too, so people can get their $5,700 to the supermarket to buy a loaf of bread.

You would just use a dollar to cut out that size from a loaf of bread. That was good enough for CSA citizens at the end of the Civil War. Maybe those hilljacks can go back to that, since they're so in love with that era.

One helluva lot less than Trump has already pissed away over the last week. Put that money in the hands of the middle and lower classes and it will get spent, boosting the demand side that looks weak as hell. It will let them buy supplies to isolate that they may not otherwise be able to afford, particularly if their employer closes.

Yeah, prejudices against fat people and Southerners are about the only ones that won't get you dragged nowadays - and it's less true of fat people than it used to be.

    That's a mighty broad brush.

This is a Romney plan. I suspect - in the distant alternate universe where this happens - a whole lot comes out of Social Security, Medicare, etc. etc.

I know why I am: Because the nuns used to force me to repeat the multiplication tables ad infinitem as a punishment for my sharp tongue. Ever since, I've equated math with pain. Since you asked.
