Add in no extra bye week, so no breaks for those Thursday games. Ridiculous.

I was stunned that the players didn't use their leverage more - but I'm also thinking the timing couldn't be worse for the owners for the outbreak.

The deal was perfect for the owners: They gave a raise to the lowest paid group, which also makes up the majority of the players. The ones making big money were going to lose because they had to convince a bunch of people it is their best interest to leave money on the table and potentially lose a year if things got ugly. When players only average three years in the league, that is a huge ask.

$30m a year for Tannehill? $91m guaranteed? That's nuts - better to franchise him for the same rate and you can cut him loose no cap hit if things go south. He's not going to end up costing you more because you waited.

Seriously. What does Bill O'Brien have to do to get fired?

Wow. That is a terrible value for Hopkins. O'Brien is a disaster.

LOL. They're going to waste the first half of a top-five quarterback's career with an awful coach/GM.

Which means there will not be an 18th week for additional television revenues. Which means the only increases to revenue will be from a week of stadium revenues and local radio. I am not sure why the owners would fight so hard for the 17th game if they were not to going to exploit the broadcasting opportunities.

    Am I understanding this correctly?

They chose Whitney Mercilus over Hopkins?

Also, Watt's contract is killing that team.

I couldn't disagree more; I think O'Brien is the best asset of the Titans organization not named Vrabel.
