Exactly. I don't have any great love for Biden, but he's a viable candidate. As I've mentioned before, a good number of people actually like the guy. More importantly, most don't hate him. They certainly don't hate him the way they hated Hillary Clinton.

Sanders is a terrible option, but he's still better than what we have now. President Trump is a disaster in every way. Every idiot who claimed that a president can only do so much damage needs to take a good hard look at the damage he has done in the handling of the current crisis, the lives that will be lost due to his failures, and realize that they were dead wrong.

 

As discussed previously, he cannot suspend, delay or cancel the elections.

I know one thing: He can't pick a Senator from a state currently governed by a Trumpist. (Minnesota, while unreliable, is currently governed by a de facto Democrat.) If you pick from a Trumpist state, you lose a Senate seat.
So there are three reasons he can't pick Warren, whom I like: 1) She's not well liked. 2) The Massachusetts governor is a Trumpist. Not a full-throated apologist for the current president, but a member of his klan nonetheless. He'll be killed if he doesn't appoint somebody from the klan. 3) She's too old. Gotta go young.

He won't do that. There's no way it can ever look hopeless after 2016. There seemed to be no chance that catastrophe would happen, but because the Trumpists control the voting mechanisms in so many states, their klan leader claimed victory. No matter what then polls say, Trumpists realize they can steal another one.

 

He wouldn't even get a 6 here.

Harris would be a very popular pick. I wonder if, strategically, it would be the right one for Biden.

He won’t need help in California or with African Americans. Klobuchar, on the other hand, could really help him win Minnesota — a state HRC barely won four years ago — and Warren could be a unifying pick to satisfy progressives.
