    The idea is that you will "blow it" on the urgent bills that don't stop, rent, utilities, etc. and the necessities that don't stop, food, drugs and gasoline (even if stuck at home, most Americans gotta drive to get to their necessities).

    Broken record time for me. ... The administration is proposing a $50 billion bailout package for the airlines. Listening to Jamie Baker, an analyst at J.P. Morgan right now, and he just said (a slight paraphrase), "The irony isn't lost on me that $50 billion is almost exactly what the industry paid out in stock buybacks and dividends over the last 5 years."

    We have to have functioning air travel. But there are options to a flat out bailout. Let 'em go broke, take 'em over for next to nothing, then re-privatize them when the crisis passes and demand for travel gets above zero. Stockholders take the hit, not employees.
